"My Future Move"

I've been living in New Milford since I was three years old,
I hate to move on but my house has been sold.
My dad has a new job in PA,
We will be moving to 145 Cherry Hill Way.

My college is also located in this new state;
So visiting my friend will be difficult, which I hate.
I will be living about three hours away,
I'll have to find new friends with whom I will play.

This upcoming move frightens me a lot,
Going to school with new people is such a frightening thought!
I am happy my new house is bigger than my first,
I'll have to buy new furniture because my old will be dispersed.

Getting a dog is also a possibility,
My dad wants a Rottweiler because they rank high in nobility.
Although I am scared I am also excited,
Hopefully I will attend Wilkes University and be delighted!

"Memorial Day Weekend"

Memorial Day weekend is alway a special occasion,
We commemorate soldiers who protected America from invasion.
Memorial Day weekend is also the starting mark of the beach time.
Cops are on high alert to stop crime.

Unfortunately the weather was really bad:
It was cold and raining, it made me mad.
My friends and I were going to spend the night down the shore,
These plans were shattered when it was forecasted to pour.

My friends and I hung out around the neighborhood,
We watched Fast 6, and it was really good!
Sunday and Monday I spent time with my family;
I got to babysit my baby nephew, which I did most readily.

Memorial Day brought great weather and I had a traditional barbecue;
My uncles cooked mountains of food and I ate till I was about to spew.
Memorial Day ended up being pretty good,
Lets hope everyone gave thanks to the soldiers like they should!

"My Battle with Tennis"

Tennis is a truly frustrating sport,
I've seen people break down into tears on the court.
The smashing of rackets on fences is a common sight.
I have to admit the same has happened to me, although I try to be polite.

My worst outbreak came against Garfield,
after my opponent's cheating ways were revealed.
His horrible calls made me mad.
I started to scream, it was pretty bad.

I know my technique isn't the best,
But I hate cheaters and that I express.
Playing one-on-one can be kinda rough,
After two full sets you've had enough.

Not all players are that bad,
Many are fun and for this I am glad.

I'm glad to have played tennis all throughout high school.
Some matches were amazing and my teammates were cool!

"Struggles of Buying a Car"

Car shopping comes with great stress,
Theres so different brands its hard to digest!
Making a final decision is quite scary;
You must live with the car for the next 7 years, you cant remarry.

I gravitated towards buying a coupe,
That way I wouldn't be stuck driving a group.
My mom agreed because they looked cool.
My dad was fine as long as it was good on fuel.

We planned on starting the search on a Saturday morning
However it began to snow harshly without an warning
Nevertheless we continued our search on the internet,
however not being able to test drive made me upset.

That night we decided on the Honda Accord,
It was a tough battle, but it outlasted the Ford.
Honda of Tenafly had a great deal,
I test drove the car and I loved the feel!

The very next day we went with the money from the bank,
I had gotten my first car and I had my parents to thank.

"The Scary Interview"

College Interviews are a scary affair,
The room was hot and it seemed like there was no air!
The professors were intimidating people.
My attempts to suck-up seemed quite feeble.

The challenge started with a long drive;
My vans engine was buzzing like a bee hive.
I got hungry halfway through,
Thank god McDonald's had a quick drive-thru.

I had to spend an hour in the waiting room.
The downfall of coming to the college too soon.
The interview lasted close to an hour,
I sweated so much I felt I needed a shower.

I thought the interview went very well;
However, the professors had on stern faces so it was hard to foretell.
Then the most amazing thing occurred:
I was accepted to the program, it was the best news I've ever heard!

"College Admissions"

Its the biggest stress of senior year.
It will surely affect your future career.
You won't get in it if your grades are garbage.
The thing I'm referring to is college!

It all began with the SAT.
My mom said it was important and I regretfully agreed.
I spent a lot of time at the library that summer,
Doing all those practice tests was quite a bummer

Getting a great score was a big relief;
However college applications caused me instant grief.
The hardest part was the application essay.
Mrs. Collentine's assignment ensured I did not stray.

Mid-January I was mailed all the decisions.
I got accepted everywhere; it was better than I had ever envisioned!
Although I have not decided where I am going to go;
I can finally get on that senioritis flow!

(I'm just joking Mrs. Collentine I'm really dedicated to your class)

"Preparations for Christmas"

Christmas at my house is huge event
my mom needed the house sparkling clean before she was content
that meant cleaning my room several times
she often came in yelling that I missed a spot like it was a crime

An enormous amount of cooking had to be done
The only way I could help was to make a quick Shoprite run
Me and my sister tried to make cookies
They turned out great although we were rookies

Over thirty of our family members were coming
hopefully we would not ruin the plumbing
the presents under the tree overflowed
my little cousins saw it and their faces glowed

The perfect christmas was complete when it snowed
It wasn't a lot, but it was enough to cover the road
Altogether christmas was a success
Even my bitter old grandma looked impressed
